Prepare yourself!
Let’s say you planned for your business like you’d plan a marriage?!
Maybe it’s time we start planning for our business just as if i was arranging a wedding! Ok, not that intense but In my opinion our businesses would change for that better.
Do you find yourself every day wondering what to do? Are you currently doing small, unimportant tasks simply to be going after something? At 5 PM on Fridays does one look back with the week and wonder in case you did anything important now? Should you you are not alone. It’s time to start planning.
My coach, Mark LeBlanc, once shared with me i should ‘create my ideal week’ every Sunday plus it would be a good idea.
So, let’s take a cue from future brides and start planning ahead!
Make your Ideal Week:
-On Sunday (or Monday morning) go through the upcoming week’s calendar. If you utilize a pc calendar print out the week and if you utilize a paper-based calendar look at the week inside your day planner.
-Think with what your ideal week would feel and look like. Consider personal time, devotion time, exercise, family time, marketing time, client appointments, writing a newsletter, writing your website posts, follow-up tasks, etc.
-Look over your goals. What tasks could you try this week to make progress toward achieving your goals?
-Decide if you want to perform these tasks and set them inside your calendar as appointments. Place in appointments to the items I mentioned in #2.
-As you place appointments inside your calendar think of precisely what is your most productive duration of the morning. In that time is the place you should do tasks that need more energy. For example, I’m an afternoon/night person therefore i do my writing toward the final for the day. It’s when I’m the most creative.
